We sat in the back but it was a bit drafty. The seats were interesting because we had two different heights depending on side but overall, would come back. ”

“ I recently had a great time at maison sweet with my friends. We were seated in the back booth, which was cutely decorated. We got the afternoon tea set for four. The sesame cream puff was good, but I liked the tiramisu one much better. The polar bear was aesthetically cute but nothing special taste-wise. I really enjoyed the yuzu mousse cake. The hard shell was very citrusy, and the crumble base was sweet and really good. The strawberry cream cake was not too sweet, and the jasmine crepe cake was good but didn't taste like jasmine. The matcha and English toffee ice creams were good. We also got jasmine tea, and the waitress refilled the pot for us :) There's a 3% surcharge on card, so bring cash if you can. ”

“ Great spot to get pastries, and the space is beautiful! If you're familiar with A La Mousse in Chinatown, I believe they are related and have similar pastries. I tried a Sesame Cream Puff and Strawberry Matcha drink and they were both well-made. It's close to the 30th Street train station and within walking distance of the Penn and Drexel campuses, so a good spot to hang out and enjoy dessert before, between, and/or after dinner if you're nearby. ”

“ Very aesthetic. Decent amount of seating, saw some people studying as well. Got some drinks to-go and it they tasted great! The cakes looked really good! Didn't get any this time but have in the past. Kinda up priced for aesthetics but flavor was good. I believe Maison Sweet is a sister store to A La Mousse, which I know has good desserts. No complaints with service, I just wish they labeled the drinks. Got the Matcha Peach Latte, wished they added a little more peach. ”

“ This is hands down a top 3 dessert shop in my list. The desserts here are phenomenal. They all are packed with flavor but aren't over powering in sweetness. I've had the jasmine milk mille crepe cake, the salted egg taro cake, and Ferraro cake. The jasmine was the best so far. The salted egg taro cake was okay, nothing special, I would recommend trying the other flavors first. You can order in store and take your food to go or dine in and do work/study there. The space is beautifully designed. The employees are super friendly and can run you down the menu. My favorite matcha is the matcha mango. The matcha they make is so creamy and delightful - the green is just amazing. They use fresh fruit which I really appreciate. Overall, this is a favorite spot and I'll be coming out any time I'm back in Philly. ”

“ First of all, the aesthetics of this place is soooo nice. Feels like a hidden little dessert oasis. Next, the desserts are so well done and very creative. Honestly, unlike any that I've ever seen elsewhere. I like that they jazz up the mousse plate with the cookie crumbles, syrup, and overall plating. Not only is it at the light to eat, but it's pretty to look at. Definitely recommend coming here to grab dessert! ”
